The Greater Boston Kappa Charities provides educational opportunities for youth through scholarship, positive social development, intentional mentoring and service to the community.

The Greater Boston Kappa Charities is overseen by a small all-volunteer Board of Trustees that provides governance of the funds and assistance with fundraising activities. The GBKC currently provides scholarships to deserving students and works closely with the Scholarship Committee in providing a "First-Year Workshop" to help the recipients with their first year of college. The hands-on GBKC Board of Trustees and generous volunteers from the Boston Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity are deeply committed individuals, who give faithfully of their time and expertise, so that 100% of the funds go directly to support the students.

The GBKC has been given tax-exempt status and can accept contributions. For a charitable event, only a portion of the ticket value is deductible. For cash donations, the instructions for the Form 1040 will help determine the exact amount of your deduction, which will vary depending on your tax bracket and whether you file as a single person or jointly.
